AMMAN — Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) Director General Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat on Sunday announced the launch of charter flights from Poland to Aqaba. The charter flights are expected to carry more than 3,000 Polish tourists aboard 16 flights planned for 2019, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Arabiyat said that Poland is a promising new market, as it is the largest Catholic market in Europe and thus aligns with the JTB’s efforts to promote religious tourism.
He also noted that the low-cost carrier Ryanair is currently operating flights from the Polish cities of Warsaw and Krakow to Amman.
